William M. & Virginia B. Spencer Outstanding Philanthropist – Eleanor M. Kidd. From gala gatherings to benefit St. Vincent's Hospital,
Outstanding Civic Leader – Edward M. (Eddie) Friend III. Eddie Friend follows the philosophy of his father, Gen. Edward M. Friend Jr., a previous winner of the Civic Leader Award, who believed that true happiness came from helping others. A longtime supporter of Big Brothers-Big Sisters and the only 2-term chair of the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, Friend has made significant contributions to many civic and charitable organizations, including United Way of Central Alabama and the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, where he currently serves as Board Chair and the 50th Anniversary Campaign Chair.

Susann Montgomery-Clark has provided both over a career at United Way, Metro Birmingham YMCA and now St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation. In addition to raising millions of dollars, she has been a leader in her fiedl as well as, president of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, president of the Alabama Planned Giving Council and incoming president of the Alabama Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
